I like christmas carols but don't have any particular christmas songs that I like. There is a christmas song that Bob Dylan did I think? I can't remember the name of it - I remember hearing it last year and it was weird in a good weird way.

Lyrics for the Bob Dylan song - found on the web from lyrics world
Must Be Santa Lyrics
Who's got a beard
That's long and white?
Santa's got a beard
That's long and white
Who comes around
On a special night?
Santa comes around
On a special night
Special night
Beard that's white
Must be Santa
Must be Santa
Must be Santa
Santa Claus
Who wears boots
And a suit of red?
Santa wears boots
And a suit of red
Who wears a long cap
On his head?
Santa wears a long cap
On his head
Cap on head
Suit that's red
Special night
Beard that's white
Must be Santa
Must be Santa
Must be Santa
Santa Claus
Who's got a big red
Cherry nose?
Santa's got a big red
Cherry nose
Who laughs this way
Ho, ho, ho?
Santa laughs this way
Ho, ho, ho
Ho, ho, ho
Cherry nose
Cap on head
Suit that's red
Special night
Beard that's white
Must be Santa
Must be Santa
Must be Santa
Santa Claus
Who very soon
Will come our way?
Santa very soon
Will come our way
Eight little reindeer
Pull his sleigh
Santa's little reindeer
Pull his sleigh
Reindeer sleigh
Come our way
Ho, ho, ho
Cherry nose
Cap on head
Suit that's red
Special night
Beard that's white
Must be Santa
Must be Santa
Must be Santa
Santa Claus
Dasher, Dancer
Prancer, Vixen
Comet, Cupid
Donner
And Blitzen
Reindeer sleigh
Come our way
Ho, ho, ho
Cherry nose
Cap on head
Suit that's red
Special night
Beard that's white
Must be Santa
Must be Santa
Must be Santa
Santa Claus
A smile is put on your face if you listen to it

And yes, if you ask me, being a fan of their music I would say yes, it is very good ! If I close my eyes I can see the lead singer singing. Of course he is still in my mind from watching the music video of " Need you Now ". Oh, you were asking about the songs, not the lead singer, lol ! Songs are great too!

Me too!
I was just reading a picture book to my kids about the origination of that song.
The organ broke - so they couldn't play the typical Christmas mass Bach piece.
One was inspired to write the words to Silent Night, & the music seemed to flow from another.
They sung & played guitar (or something similar) as the congregation hummed.
Silent Night is a beautiful song!

I also like "Song For a Winter's Night" by Sarah McLachlan.

Kapitan,
I know - some of it is really annoying - like the song, "Simply Having a wonderful Christmas time"...
But some are fun - depending on the mood, of course.
I like this jazzy version of Jingle Bells... (sung by Diana Krall)

& "Breath of Heaven" has a nice feel... (Amy Grant)

BTW, When I hear songs about mary & baby Jesus, I often think about us all - whether as babies, spiritually born, or as mothers & fathers.
Merry Christmas!

Ok it's a few weeks after xmas but here's to next xmas
My favourite song is 'I believe in Father Christmas' by Gregg Lake, always reminds me of my lovely childhood.
My favourite xmas CD is 'A Christmas Tapestry' by Medwyn Goodall. Beautiful
