Online dating sites

Online dating is like any other method out there; it works fine for some; ie. those who know how to use it. It work marginally for others and not at all for the rest.
I know of several couples that met thru online means, so it can work.
For me, it's just been frustrating, so I don't bother with it. I also don't care for some of the methods the site owners use to take advantage of people and milk them financially.

I'm on a dating site also and I have exactly the same problem as yourself with men messaging just for a casual fling.

I'm also feeling that men are intimidated because I have a successful career and I feel myself trying to talk down what I do so I don't frighten them off or that they take advantage of the fact that I have a decent income. Has anyone else experienced this?

I saw that, not experienced though. Some men got really insecure about their partner's success although some men just turned into little boys again.
By the way I deleted my account. I got fed up with it and nowadays just going out and trying to smile.
Funny that it is really hard for me to smile to a stranger.

I think I'm going to delete mine too.

It can work cos my cousin met his wife online but for me I've only had bad experiences and met the 'jack the lad' types, which I can do without.

I'm a believer in fate though so if it's meant to happen it will!
