Run
Running bare foot across the grassy plains -
The ground kisses my feet.
Heart beating at excessive pace
My body is weary and weak.
All I can do is run and breath
My stride is heavy, my limbs
Feel like lumps of wood,
I'd stop for a moment
If I could.
My breath meets each moment of
Life with apprehension.
I am loved in a way which
Is way beyond my comprehension.
Running across grassy plains
The ground kisses my feet...
Running until I've exhausted all
Other options... Running until I
Beat thy own self... At my own game...
Until I collapse under my own weight
To rest, to wake
To meet
My maker.
