Why are we born?

This is a question I am always asking for answer and yet nowhere I found it.I Found a bit of it books of religions and yet I am not satisfied with that. People say life has a meaning and a goal too but I cannot feel it deep down. What saddens me is the fact though we are a few days' guests we are still too much occupied with possessions or powers. No matter what heaps of wealth we can amass we will have to part with all that at the end of the day and once our journey ends we will be merged with clay.

Do you see a purpose or meaning in your birth?
Do you think there is a creator and he determines our course or stay in this universe?

Do you think man is immortal and there is a soul?

I was taught in Hinduism that man is immortal and though the body dies the soul within remains untouched by the cold hand of death.

But this is hard to come by

Man is not immortal as the mind body organism but what is within the mind body is, if you want to know why we are born, well, ask your SELF, Consciousness, you made yourself, you also made me.

So this sounds as though your questions you are asking supernova are going beyond human decision or a husbands will?

Job 8:8-9

Ask the former generations and find out what their fathers learned, for we were born only yesterday and know nothing, and our days on earth are but a shadow.

Hi Supernova,
I too have never been convinced that there is one grand purpose for our existence. Physical incarnation, yes, I believe we choose it for our souls' experience and growth. This only seems true to me because I have never really felt that this physical incarnation of me is all there is, or all there was. It doesn't feel like the real me. I feel limited; withheld by a physical body. But our Consciousness' or soul's existence? The only answer I have read that has truly resonated with me is that we simply exist without choice. We exist because we always have. Our existence never started it always was and always will, in one form or another. Much like time.
