Is it possible young souls not coming back?

Good question. Perhaps. I am not sure what you mean by "going home" though. I am not sure how most souls work. But for myself, I have been incarnating (mainly) on earth for a while now. I have gone through many harsh lessons and made mistakes. I feel that I am training so that I can become a spirit guide when I have finished incarnating. I consider it more like following a calling, rather than going home. Maybe there is somewhere to go after being a spirit guide, but I don't know, since time doesn't really work the same out there. Perhaps it depends on what you are learning your lessons for how long you spend incarnating. And then, maybe specific experiences could totally change your path. Perhaps you planned on living so many lives doing this and that, but something changed and your skills were needed in the astral world so you stop incarnating. Possibilities!

Not everybody learns at the same rate. Some young souls might only need to be here for a few incarnations before moving on to some other place that is more suited for them. They might only need those few incarnations to become what we consider an 'old soul'. I don't think it's really about the age- but about the experiences the soul wants to learn and how in depth and intensely they want to learn them. There are plenty of other planets and dimensions which might benefit them more.

Also it's not really about going home.. there's no point being home forever. They will start again with a new planet maybe. Maybe it's just that these young souls are saving more intense experiences for their next round.. or maybe they have already gone quite a few rounds before.

Incarnating never really stops I think. The cycle goes on eternally.

I have had this thought too. It's great though because learning to admit that helps ego expand even further because then it can't claim that it's special.
