Help identifying this crystal?

Hey everyone.
In my introduction I said that I'm new to all of this stuff, particularly crystals and stones. I've always admired their beauty, but now I'm starting to explore their metaphysical properties too. On a recent holiday I bought this lovely bracelet but I'm struggling to understand what it is. It was labeled as Malachite, but it looks different to my tumble or any other photos I can find. Is it even a crystal, or have I been ripped off? Lol. Unfortunately I can't post a photo yet so I'm u sure how I will be able to show you.
They are beads, mainly dark green and turquoise, and speckled with black, dark greens and blues.

I can see the similarities, and it does "feel" like a stone (it doesn't feel plasticky on my teeth). I'm just such a novice I'd be easily ripped off ha. I hope this thread doesn't die a death before I get chance to post my photo!
