Because of this black obsidian is NOT suited for everyone! Not everyone is ready to handle this sort of thing and some ppl will never be able to handel black obsidian as it is VERY strong!

And do NOT cleanse crystals with hot water (where did you get that idea??) and NOT with salt water! Salt water can damage crystals. As can hot water. The both combined, not smart ...
Apart from that the black obsidian doesn't need cleansing at all, it just did what it is
supposed to do, YOU couldn't handle it.
Always always always buy crystals from instinct, what you're drawn to, never from the head (what you read).
And if you do read, then read properly and everything. Then you A) would have known black obsidian does this B) there are other types of obsidian that are much gentler, like snowflake obsidian or Apache tear obsidian.
One more thing, if you feel you react strongly to a crystal, why continue to keep it on you for a week? I mean, a week?! When you got a splinter in your foot that hurts when you walk, you don't continue walking for a week, would you? You get it out of your foot.
Sometimes your system needs a bit of time to adjust to the frequency of a crystal. That doesn't mean the crystal needs cleansing, it means your system has to adjust/get used to it. And sometimes you'll find that a crystal simply is too strong for you (at that moment in time, it can change as you grow and develop).
Stop ruining crystals with hot salt water (please read up on how to cleanse crystal the right way!) and go for something soothing so your system can settle down again.
