How do you know Jesus had other more relevant teachings than what we have?

LWAu, what's your take on the Gnostic gospels that contain some teachings of Jesus? Seems to me they could provide a different perspective on Jesus' teachings.

One might see a consensus of things which all confirm one another.
For example, one might see how Jesus confirmed the ancient Far Eastern teachings of, "Maya", in His teachings on the affectiveness of Faith on, and in, the material world and reality. And also of prayer.
In science there has been various research on this. On people, on plants, and other things.
True?
And, in modern physics, we have from Einstein, some 70 years ago, now.
" Reality is an illusion, albeit, a very persistant one."
There is consensus, then, revealing and confirming Truth.
We can read today also the many accounts of people who have died... and returned to tell their story. ( www.nderf.org )
We read in Acts 14:19, and 2 Corinthians 12, also, of St. Paul's testimony of his death and return.

Majority of Christians believe there prophets get there information from God.
Also been told by Christians that if someone can prophesy and they are not a Christian that the get there information from the Devil. So its no win situation LOL

I was reading the gnostic gospel of thoms last night ans the sayings of Jesus. What really worries me with those is thier authenticity and possibility of being written many hundreds of years after Jesus lived. I dont mind some of the things in them and they are good stories. usually they parallel the NT writings. The Apocryphal book of steven is a bit fishy.

Hey lightworker, just curious, having said that you don't mind some of the things in them, well, do you mind that the crucifixion and resurrection are not?
