Are channelings always reliable?

I wonder if those channels took on too MANY students When I post my replies here I always edit my words to make sure I'm clear and I haven't waffled too much! I know you must get better at channelling accurately the first time around, but one thing I've noticed is that the beings I channel like to edit! When the angels give me a message for someone, we write it once completely, like a first draft, then I read it through. Often I see bits I don't think have quite captured the feelings and images they give me. We then go back through it a second time. We do one short paragraph at a time. They dictate it a second time. It ALWAYS changes subtly and becomes clearer. Sometimes I see I've applied my own words to their meanings. I usually understand their meaning, but I want THEIR words, not mine! Sometimes I realise I don't understand 100%, so they explain it a second time. Sometimes we can rake a message over three or four times, getting better all the time, until it sounds like the ANGEL and nothing like me! When we're finished, it's expressed their way, their words. Channeling isn't all about the words - it's about the energy in the words and meanings too. I think getting the right ones direct from the horses mouth is very important!

I wonder if too many channels take the very first draft and treat it as gospel, forgetting that even angels sometimes need to reword for greater clarity! The channels mind DOES get in the way, the angels I channel often have to bring ME to a realisation before we can adequately express the teaching to someone else, which sometimes means changing my belief to a knowing! Channelling is one way for a soul to grow. It's about your own leaning as much as the act of teaching others. I think some channels forget they are growing too! I also wonder if some channels are actually a bit afraid of the higher being and don't want to quiz them too deeply on their meaning.

The channel has to practise discernment too about what they choose to give out, and how MUCH channelling they are willing to do. Overdo it, do it in a rush or under a lot of pressure and yes, you will get unreliable information!

Also, how many channels receive their messages from beings they only speak to when they meditate? You can only meditate so long! They release the messages, thinking they must be right, but they haven't checked and maybe they're a little bit afraid of getting it wrong! If their mind isn't clear enough to come out of meditation and continue their conversation, and SPEAK to the beings they're channelling in detail, get to know them and trust them, then I think they're setting themselves up for trouble in the future. I've found meditation is for ME, channelling happens outside of it, and is MUCH more reliable when I meditate!

Of the time I spend with my soul family, with archangels or other ET beings, 97% of it is spent privately. Most of what we talk about is never shared, it's about my path, my life, our lives together before and after my ascension. Some of it will be shared, but not yet. Our contact is FUN, I'm chatting to friends. When I channel for someone else, the way they speak sounds quite different and a bit weird, because I'm used to hearing voices that might be wearing jeans and t-shirts!

I'm not saying my way is gospel, or anything like that, just using my own experience. I think a lot of channels get lost in the 'supernaturalness' of it all, and forget the down to earth reality. They're speaking to very aware beings through a human mind which is often distracted, upset, scrambled. You have to work WITH the beings, not take everything you hear in your head as gospel truth! There WILL be discrepancies, there WILL be errors, but the better you know your higher beings, the easier it is to clear them up!

Anyway... Kryon , to me is the most authentic of those few I've read-heard ..... and the most egoless-transparent IMO .... a more gentle, loving presence I cannot imagine.
These is a huge amount of fake channeling being shared however... and swallowed up as truth.

I wanted to chime in and share what I feel on this topic. First, there are different levels and types of channeling.

First you have your intuitive state where someone is picking up on the energies of a person, a place, a thing, and interpreting that energy into information about that person/place/thing. The person is very much present and the information is passing through their own perceptions, filters, and agendas. This is important to what you are saying about messages maybe not being as authentic as they could be...

You then have Indirect Channeling where the person or "Medium" is picking up on the energies and messages and passing them along. This is what is trendy in all the tv shows and whenever you hear someone say "I'm being told" or "The spirit is telling me", they are an indirect channel. They are indirectly passing that message from the spirit/angel on to you. The key is yet again, the information is being passed through that person's beliefs, values, perceptions, and ideas. Over years, someone can really learn to keep their perception out of the message they are passing along but you need to realize it is still being processed through their mind and thus, their filters and perceptions.

Then, you have people that are at the point where they are full Direct Channels. They can either be trance channelers or conscious channelers. Either way, it is not them talking at all...it is the angel they are channeling talking. Depending on that channeler's ability to completely surrender over (easy if they are trance channelers) the information can literally be straight from the angel's mouth and in that very authentic.

I would say that absolutely there are going to be people that market themselves as intuitives, mediums or channels that are not that authentic. But honestly, you get that in every profession that exists. Do people become less authentic as they become more "famous"? I do not know if I believe that. I'm making a guess but if you are at the point that you've gained some noteriety for what you do, you obviously have some ability. And in terms of channeling or any other gift, the more you practice it the better you become at it, so I don't know if they ability changes...

It could be that perhaps the more famous they feel more pressure to bring through good information and perhaps at times when the message isn't earth-shattering perhaps they add a little "filler"? I have no idea and don't know.

I think all that truly matters is that you follow and trust what feels right and true for you. I do know that different channels bring through completely different types of energies, messages, topics, and types of information. Perhaps it could be that a person finally is ready for a different type and frequency of information and it is not that that particular channeler is now "fake", but just that you've moved on to needing a different level of information and material.

I found Tammy's response very thoughtful with an excellent ending. I try not to go around comparing or evaluating others channeling -- and especially not compare it to what I receive. There are as Tammy says very different energies messages and types of information that will be discovered for those that need them.

I would suggest you have to sense the energy of the channeling not for right and wrong -- sense for light of the situation and how it supports my growth and healing?

interesting thread...my only comment is about the spirit who is coming through.....spirit can only speak from their own reality/awareness/level and does not know everything that there is to know......My favorite is Emmanuel, but there are things he says that do not resonate with me, therefore I discard them, but he is speaking from his "own" perception which could be quite different from another spirit's perception or understanding........

Evil intelligent beings can fool humans into believing they are channeling from a righteous heavenly source, when they are receiving information from other sources not heavenly sources. However, the channeling process in itself may be accurate, but as I said the source is not righteous.

At times the channeling process is correct while the source may be anything.
At other times what appears like channeling may be a trick of our unconscious mind.
