L-rods aquired
Now, how do I use them? My main handicaps are that I have zero mediumship skills and zero energy sensing skills afaik, so the spirit world isn't exactly having an easy time telling me things. Pendulums and ouijaboards have also been complete failures.
But, I have these two metal rods, L shaped, and plastic pipes to hold that allows free movement for the rods without me touching them. And I understand that my task is to hold them still and horizontal. Now what.

What you have are Dowsing Rods. Used to locate things like water, metal, ley lines - get the idea. Do they work ? Yes, is the answer. I have plotted ley lines with them. I watched an engineer locate water supply pipes a metre under concrete. Like all things of a similar nature, you need to sensitive to very small signals.
