it might be possible that you've employed "selective browsing", and not
observed a wide enough offering. perhaps what is made available for
casual observation has been geared towards supporting a 'negative'
conclusion, somehow.

I have an acquaintance who is smarter than me, when it comes to trivial knowledge / literal trivia games.
He's definitely smarter.
But I think some would agree that I'm "smarter" than him, when it comes to deeper, life experience, etc type of stuff.
There's intellectual smarts. There's common sense, that some lack.
There's emotional intelligence. Et cetera.

Everyone who knows me refers to me as the smartest person they know.
At the same time ill have conversations and ill miss alot of normal social cues. Ill mentally lack empathy when most others wouldn't. And to be honest after gaining awareness i view it as huge downfall. I'm over analytical and I've spent years and years learning heaps of stuff i now need to unlearn. Half the time i miss the point of the conversation becasue im busy breaking down cause and effect. When someone tells me their car broke i don't just hear those words. I'm busy in my mind seeing what broke, Why it broke, what will break next as a result and how this is going to affect that persons life for each of those incidents. Socially my life is a little more challenging to navigate. Even with years of counselling others and books upon books for human psychology I'm still disconnected.
But you can present almost any issue to me and ill offer a solution or tear whatever it is down and fix it. even fabricate the parts to fix it with any machine I'm put in front of and it would spec out to military tolerances if not better.
There's a delicate balance, When anything is gained something is always lost.

My son has Aspergers, google it.
He has abilities most neural typicals don't have but it comes with a price?
Smart people are perhaps limited in other fields of life...
Wisdom...
Show me a flower and I see the rain...
Some will put it in their pocket for a fine occasion, among the elite.
Smart vs wisdom...
Help me... I can be so stupid at times.
