And yes - Shiva exists in the paintings and they cost (almost) nothing and are maybe more valuable than the ones of Salvador Dali. ;-)
The advice not to make an image of God is IMHO just an advice, i.e. proceed at own risk and responsibility. Although it never can really be God, but just something that helps understand according to our mental potentials.
There certainly also is an evolution in the paintings, i.e. it's crystallizing itself.
Hinduism also lacks rational/logical philosophical thought. So they say that one day "Kaliyuga" will be finished, but just like that. There's no reason why and what the time waiting is good for us.
Namaste..

How much do you know about Hinduism to make those claims?

If you want logical and rational philosophical thought in Hinduism, you read the Upanishads...You study Patanjali and Adi Shankaracharya...even those things which seem like illogical and fanciful mythology all have an incredibly deep meanings behind them.....but only a Hindu can truly understand this....It is not apparent to an "outsider" or one from a different religion...and unless you know what Shiva is, you can't really say what he is not.

I know what I experienced in India, because that is the Hindu world as it is. If studying the stuff you recommend would make anything better it would be better already. But if you consider India being the promised land, why not moving there? I've also visited Muslim countries and they are phenomenal in their own way, so we still haven't reached the elephant. ;-)

Why don't I move there? Because I got no money, no job and live on welfare handouts..Next question?

I am not saying India is the "promised land". I also stayed there for 6 months some thirty years ago.

I am only a Hindu, a scholar and a Shiva Bhakta.. nothing more and nothing less..and I am also not trying to preach or indoctrinate here...but my beliefs serve me very well and so, I don't care what others believe in...to each their own...As long as others don't try and ram their views down my throat when I am totally not interested, because I also tend to be rather intolerant that way.

But I'm not intolerant, I'm just saying that it's not all of the truth. In India we can see the fruits of their limited truth, as in the West we can see other fruits that are product of the ambitious ego. The elephant must be somewhere in the middle (center of the storm?). ;-)

This picture for me has a great meaning and it should be "read" from right to left. So the rainbow-colors are the different incomplete truths that are all parts of "the Holy Spirit"...

That fits this song from Bob Marley who also was a manifestation of the "Holy Spirit".

To SoulGenesis:

Truth is articulated by way of many forms.

SD isn't insisting hers is the only one. She was just grace-iously 'giving' (to you!) in response to your 'request'.

IMO (which is based on my 'sense' of the truth that's embedded in your responses, YOU are in truth showing your self as being ungracious (pettily competitive!).

Your 'soul' could 'use' some further development.

And that's the truth about what just went on here, IMO!

Shivani! Thanks for the offer of help...
Could you by any chance tell me either or both....what it would look like to in Hindi or Sanskrit...

In every thought perceive Me.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru
