Ghost of My Neighbour's Cat

When I was a kid, one summer, a neighbor's cat used to jump through my open bedroom window at night and sleep with me for a few hours before going back out again into the darkness. One day the neighbor told me their cat had cancer and had to be put down. It was a serious loss for me. I had lost a good friend. That night as I was going to sleep, my window was open and I felt a cat jumping onto my bed, and then it walked around in a circle before flopping down. This was the cat's usual routine. I reached to touch it, as I used to do, but there was nothing there. I turned on the lights and there really was nothing there. I think the cat came by for one last visit.

I am sure many people have similar stories of pets saying goodbye.
