Personally, I would not mess with any "magic" or tarot cards or any of those things. Simply, because your evoking all kinds of energies from the spiritual world. The dead are dead, and yes they are wandering, but let them be.
I remember having the energy of Crystals working against me.I guess you really have to know what your doing once you evoke a third party. Remember Yoda from Star Wars, with the saying, "may the force be with you" LoL, well, it IS. Work with what you have within. The power of self mediating.
Also, if you believe in God simply ask him to guide and help you.

Energy Work is a term generally used as a Psionic Discipline. Though Energy effects can be accomplished through Ritual or Invocation they are not generally considered Energy Work. Invocation belongs in one of the Religion sub-forums or possibly in the Wiccan or Magic subforums.

I think the mind is the one of the greatest tools against any form of negativity. Your mind strengthens like a muscle the more you exercise, use and develop it!

Some things that bother people - they may class as a "drain" or an "attack", but it was only draining to them because it was an emotional flaw that they had not yet resolved within their sub-conscious.

Ok, consider this - have you ever felt tired / drained (from anything, perhaps a long day at work or a boring movie etc.), then how alert would you feel if somebody handed you a winning lottery ticket? The only difference to your body energy (10 seconds before and after being given a lottery ticket) was your mind state.

The likely-hood is if that somebody does conscious work upon themselves and progress themselves closer to the point of self-realisation, the less things in their existence will actually effect them

From experience, the best way to prevent psychic attacks is to learn to pray/ask from your heart properly. Why the heart? Heart is the key to the Source of Love - the highest and most important Source of All things. In the daytime, I don't have that much of a problem, but during sleep or that in-between sleep/wake stage I get problems. That's when I remember to use the feeling of love within my heart to pray. They don't like it because the Love is too strong for them. I can feel the love just pouring down as this happens and they go away.

How to practice being in your heart? I posted the free open heart meditation in the meditation side so that one can meditate/pray to have one's heart opened. Also, there's a free usui reiki level 1 attunement in the reiki section that can open your heart instantly, if that interest you.

Daily practice is key even when you don't want to practice, force yourself to do it. Your heart and spirit will thank you.

I think I may be having this problem at the moment.

I have a delicate constitution following nerves damage from hypothermia a few years ago. Now I have no toleration to the cold. I manage it as best I can but, I am also developing my mediumistic abilities thru a local open circle over the past 6 months.

Cold-wise, I have been stable for about 3 weeks, but yesterday, being open circle night, I started feeling shivery/sweaty in the afternoon and feel a sort of "wind" around my head, like someone blowing on it. I went to the circle despite feeling shivery and gave a good accurate reading ( as I normally seem to be able to do), but had a terrible cold,shivery/sweaty night and this morning still dont feel "normal" again yet.

I wonder is it possible that either good spirit is draining me pre and post circle aggravating my nerves or could it be bad spirits trying to prevent me from working in the circle or attacking me in my delicate state ?
or is it just me getting myself in a state of nervous mess and nothing to do with spirit?

From a Healer's perspective, this sounds like you are really purging your spiritual energies. The cold feeling, the wind sound around your head, it is all very real and symptomatic that you are connecting our earth's geomagnetic field. Spiritual energy is very magnetic and gets pulled away from you, so that is why this is happening.

I am a Universal Healer who is always involved with this phenomenon. I hope this helps explain things for you. As you purge, you will go through many different aspects of yourself but it is all good really. It is not bad at all. It is all automatic and no rituals here. It is like your spiritual energies are unwinding from the physical you.

does anyone have any insight into energy channeled through objects? and if one is in possession of this object, are they able to attack the spirit of the individual whose energy is linked to the object? and if so, what can one do to combat the attack?
