A samurai has wisdom; courage by itself will just get you killed. In life whether you are a man or a woman, you have to know when to fight! And ultimately your actions are influenced by your thoughts and emotions! The wisdom within an individual (Have you ever listened to Bruce Lee? the man was not devoid of wisdom!) , this is what is wrong, masculinity formed into a malignant form! The self exorcised man).

It’s not about being peaceful, allot of men die in phony wars (Because they lack wisdom, and get used as tools! Plain and simple) because they are fighting the wrong war and target! A samurai will always know its target, and it is never an innocent civilian! Whoever that individual is? Once they remove their sword? You know that boy is in trouble.….

Then the ultimately test of strength HAS to be the testing of emotional fortitude. There are a lot of boys pumped up on steroids, who get their hair cut in salon! You know they might look the part. I'm probably less inclined to envisage a romanticised 'noble Samaria' because the Samaria foot soldier was basically a yes man bound by honour and shame to obey his superior. I'm not so sure that a strict code of honour that reduces a man's autonomy can fairly be associated with any notion of wisdom. It has been a masculine role for men, traditionally, to be warriors, so there is formal social sanctioning of male violence, and indeed, males experience much higher rates of violence, both as perpetrators and victims, compared to females. I wouldn't go so far as to say that violence is endemic to masculinity - it may merely be socially normalised - as violence has primarily been the business of men since time immemorial.

The video I posted portrays the violent male as a social symbol, the killer and rapist, which is ultimately a last resort, yet also necessary so as to preserve patriarchal power in social structures. The dominant patriarchy is also what makes the Samaria warrior a highly disciplined and skilled, but entirely docile and obedient, and hence a very useful male body in preserving patriarchal power structures. This is to say that males in society are privileged, but only if they can perform well the socially sanctioned meanings of masculinity. This is complex because the only way men can maintain their privileged empowered dominant status in the patriarchy is to incessantly regulate each other, and have the means of disciplining each other, to conform to 'being a man'. Therefore, patriarchy doesn't only subjugate women (as the film clip I posted indicated), but even moreso, men themselves are subjugated. Naturally then, this means that men perpetrate and also endure far more violence than do women, as men are for more rigourously disciplined into 'being a man'. Hence, the Samaria warrior was simultaneously violent and subjected to violence, and even self inflicted violence, so as to preserve 'manhood' as a social symbol so that the patriarchy could be maintained.

Sure, the psychological stability or fortitude is an important element for any person, yet, the male physique is certainly the larger more muscular human sex - generally speaking. It could certainly be said that the life challenges a male navigates and overcomes contributes significantly to his sense of confidence and ability. I think these apply equally to females and femininity, though.

Ok got the graphic to post Yay! Here is the thing to consider also with this complex octagon, regarding male-female, when found in the VE/jitterbug/cubo{6]-octa{8}hedron.

The VE also transforms into two differrent frequency of tetrahedron;

1) 2-frequency,

2) 0-1 frequency.

Either of these can be seen to be bisected into to identically equals halves i.e. man and woman as equals, yet their prime vectors are oriented at 90 degrees to each other.

Again, this is the optimum orientation because it defines the minimal stable structure of Universe ie. we may consider some concept of male and female as fundamental to our finite, occupied space Universe

In this equal status scenario, male and female can be be nearly on the same plane of existence and be operating in opposite directions ergo greatest chance of collision, or,

they can be nearly on same plane but spinning in same direction.

Here is another way of thinking about this above. So the prime vector of both male and female each defines a 360 degree spin plane, if considered to spin around a spin axis of the tetrahedron.

Since female brain tends twoward more bi-lateral operation, we can conceptually say that, the female spin plane has more wobble in it as it spins around i.e. more left and more right ergo more complexity.

This can begin to be like the complex octagon. The greater the peaks and valleys of spin-plane, the more bilateral thinking that is occurring.

So the males spin-plane may have less osscilation between the peaks and valleys, lefts and rights etc....

We can take these two spin-planes wobbles, that stem from neutral beginning of exactly 90 degrees to each other, out to a further degree but I have trouble envisioning what exactly that would look like and 3D.

I can do a search and see what may exist.

Aerosmith's film clip for the song, Pink, draws masculinity out of the confines of the social norm. The clip suggests that gender norms are narrowingly oppressive, and shows a wide range of masculine expressions. The lyrics make pink a man's thing, and in the visuals see genders diverge through unconventional dress, makeup, body shapes and gender atypical postures and gestures.

The banal similarity of pop music clips stereotype gender and sexuality to create the illusion the norm. Its virtual sexes and genders represented as 'porn without the pornography'. This is exampled in clips such as Call on Me by Eric Prydz, Blurred lines by Robin Thicke or I'm a Slave for You by Britney. These are not real expressions, nor even original arts - they are a misrepresentation of real lives; a cheap, dull minded and mass produced sex sells formula no more substantial than television advertising. These misrepresentations are a perversion, not of the flesh, but of honesty, and the arts of music and video.

Rock music is where a performer has to be himself - the super-human reality of self. This is exemplified by Freddy Mercury, Bowie, Axel Rose, Elvis, Jagger, Bon Jovi, Zappa, and in this case of course, Steve Tyler.

In the Pink clip, masculinity is diversely expressed (as is femininity) - and done with fun filled good taste. A spectrum of gender and sexuality is represented subtly and respectfully - whispered suggestively if you will - and it is the art-form of both music and film.

This is one of my all time favorite clips. Its tact appeals to the appreciation of art, so please take the few minutes to watch this simply sublime representation of real (and unreal) people in all their wondrous sub-cultural diversity.

Here is a mature man worth listening to, he draws on his life story to talk about his son, his father, and his own struggles and mistakes in growing into manhood, and as a father.

I saw a man the other day leave a child out side a shopping mall, before he went in he said to the child "are you going to wait here for me like a man?". I think the whole "be a man thing" is used to get people to do things, i can remember growing up that when someone didn't want to do something someone else would say "be a man" or something along those lines and then the person would do what they really didn't want to do. So it's just something guys say to each other to manipulate each other into doing stuff.

To be a man you just have to be a man lol.

Here is another one of those subtle little things that differrentiate men and women processes.

In general a woman wants to looked at by man so she knows she's attractive.

If a woman smiles at a man, he thinks she wants to bed with him, or at least he believes his opportunities are greatly increased. imho.

Just one of those thoughts that occurred to me today.

This type thinking is also laid-out fairly well in the Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus book.
In regards to sexual intercourse, there is ole saying, man tend toward just needing a place, women tend toward needing to have a reason.
This latter above may go back to womens brain doing more lateral thinking. For them there is always more to consider, whereas with a man there is just having a goal and focus on getting to that goal.
Again, the ratio of idiot savants is 6:1 men to women repesctively. Idiot savants tend toward hyper-abbilites in one or two narrow sets of focus-ablitiy.
Even the one savant who can communicate what is going on inside his head, drive an auto because of too much information coming into his head.

It seems like a boy has to be born a man, but masculinity of boyhood is not that of adulthood. Fathers are out there trying to make boys into men - 'soldiers don't cry'.

Its not true. When I was busking outside the casino in Brisbane, I played Wish You were Here by Floyd for a recently returned soldier - and he cried.

Boys are brave because 'soldiers don't cry', right? Wrong. Soldiers cry much more than anyone knows.
