New room

I've done a loft conversion. It took far longer than it should have done and numerous headaches along the way (are there parallels in my life - me thinks "yes").

And, part of the work involved creating a structure around my stairs which flowed into my living room - blocking the flow of energy in my house. This has now gone.

The details that need to be done are cosmetic: cleaning, cleaning, cleaning, carpeting, new furniture, painting.

But it is a new room. It is a new space. My healer - suggested turning it to a sacred space. It will be used for ordinary life but she suggested an altar and blessing it regularly.

So my q is: what would I use for the altar, what would I use to bless it and to make it all pure - and then keep it pure.

I've got a candle burning and incense going - to clear out the energies of the builders. It isn't as I would like it yet but it will get there, it needs carpeting and decorating.

I've also put a few crystals and I'm thinking of putting up a picture or two.
