Detecting Energy & Interacting with it

I am desperately seeking to understand whats happening to me. I can feel energy - the weight, movement, velocity and sometimes even the emotion attached to it. I’ve felt it for years, but tonight is the first time I tried to interact with it (as if it were a person/spirit/soul).

For instance, I am currently at my grandmother’s house, in her basement… When it started - nighttime, 10:30pm and I began to see a flicker (which evolved into a significant movement) out of the corner of my eye. I can only describe it as a molecular buzzing fuzz. I closed my laptop and sat silent and listened/waited. I sit for a minute and focus on the area around me… And after about 25 seconds I begin to see very subtle shift in the space in front of me, like slowly vibrating particles.

The whole reason I’m writing this - tonight the energy became responsive when I asked questions. The energy grew heavier and lighter depending on what I asked. I questioned out loud “who are you?”, made clear that I am open to interpretation and held my hands out limp in front of me. The energy began to push my right hand outward.
As background, I recently laid out old pictures of deceased relatives on the counters in the basement. Just some family digging and curiosity.

My right hand began to move upward, towards the ceiling/me and I interpreted it as being as pointing towards the right side stacks of old family pictures. I completely went with it at this point, laid out all those pictures clearly/evenly and asked again.

This time, the energy lifted my hand up, towards me. I started getting a little nervous at this point, to be honest, because the response was ambiguous and kind of freaky. I continued to stay calm however, but every time the same reaction. I moved towards my grandfather’s old chair (who is now deceased) which was behind me. This is when the energy stopped completely. It became extremely heavy and just vanished, for lack of better wording.

Moral: I felt the energy the second it appeared. When I interacted, my body was EXTREMELY sensitive to the changes/shifts that were happening. I could feel it in my hands/body/space around me.

I would just, for the love of anything, like to know more about what this means. Is there a name for it? Does anyone have similar experiences? What does this detection of energy mean? Is it a spirit? Is it just energy detection with my minds own spin on interpretation? ANY answer or feedback would be so, so appreciated.
