Three types of Spiritual
The most well known two types of spirituality are Spiritualism and Yoga. One more not as well know is called Gen(jutsu).
Gen is in the anime called Naruto. Spiritualism is used for many reasons but the most common one is to speak to the dead. You can study Yoga from many sources but one I like is entitled Autobiography of a Yogi. Please take a look if you'd like.

I would imagine there are tons of ''spirituality types''.
My take: Not much will be gained by just reading the Autobiography of Yogi Paramahansa Yogananda...but
rather being initiated into the practice of Kriya Yoga which he taught a modified version of in the West.
(Having nothing to do with speaking to the dead, btw, but about a method to Self-Realization.)
