"monument" at the Big Hole National Battlefield

Hi All,

I'm new to this forum. Last week I visited the Big Hole National Battlefield and was curious to find that there is a monument there which lists the names of the fallen white men but not one native name was included. I'm trying to find out if this is offensive to anyone else. I assume that for all these years, the Nez Pearce (please forgive me if I'm using an undesirable name) would have their own listing of the so called fallen if it was something they would want. Maybe the teepees are their chosen form of remembrance. Can anyone clue me in on how to contact someone who could inform me about this?

thank you!,

Greg Killmaster
