traveling in a space ship

I had a dream that I was on a space ship and will smith was my dad and we were just in there then an invader got in our ship and I had to kill him.

I was wondering do nightmares hold meaning too? Clues into my psyche? And if so, could you tell me your interpretation of this dream? Thanks.

I do suspect this dream is a clue into your subconscious thinking. You learned that it is important to protect yourself. William means determined protector. You protect yourself from the things that invade your life and peace of mind. This may be people, situations, or even points of view. The issue though, with this type of mindset is that it puts us at odds with others and the world. When we feel we must protect ourselves at all costs we can fall into a pattern of thinking in an us versus them perspective. Unconditional love is lost. So if we really want to be at peace with the world and everyone in it we may need to lay down our arms and trust that we are protected from harm. Of course if someone is coming at us with a knife then self preservation is a must but most of us fall into self preservation over things that are not a physical threat. This puts us at odds with life. There is no need to fight another person's perspective or way of life. Live and let live.
