So confused and lost

I'm spiritually confused. I'm a Buddhist yet not a Buddhist, I'm new age yet not new age. What form of Buddhism? I prefer Zen yet I prefer Theravada meditations. What kind of new age? I love it yet it's full of charlatanism. I'm also an agnostic too. I don't know what the hell I am. I'm intensely spiritual but with nothing to go by, I' in turmoil because of it.

I guess not. I suppose it's just another part of my ego needing to cling to something to have an identity right?

Hi Greg
I dont know what many of those belief systems promote but what i do know is it is possible to live a fulfilling life without being attached to any of them ... maybe it is time to let all those conflicting thoughts go and just enjoy being alive ... you will eventually gravitate towards that which is 'true' for you without forcing the issue :)

I think just what you said, Greg. So it has been for me atleast.
I've been striving with the similar feelings since 2005 and finally in 2011 I have found my own path without having the need to call me anything specific. I am what I am and my road leads whereever it will take me.

All the best!

I like this the best ~ makes the most sense. At any given time in an adult's life, they're going to have conflicting ideas and notions going on up in their heads. Why does a person have to subscribe to just one 'faith' or belief system? I've never seen a real reason for such a thing. I mean, if a person was attending U and they were studying all those religions, I don't think they'd be saddling themselves with "I gotta pick One." Y'know...
Relax~* Obviously, there's 'good stuff' in each of them. Or is it more a matter of where do I go every Sunday to worship (or whatever day)?

You are created to reflect some of God's Qualities in yourself.

You are given the freedom to enjoy His Light and be grateful to Him, or to enjoy His Light and oppose Him.

The result of your choice is after death.

Why not just drop all the labels and be who you truly are, why do you need to be something when in fact your everything, just go with the flow of life, all the animals and plants do it, so why can't you ?.
