Hi Ian .
I'm a bit confused so can we establish what exactly your desires are ?
If you want to have the experience of meeting your loved ones in spirit or a soul meeting in order to be with them , you seem to want that experience to happen in heaven ?
Granted , they do not have to " die" to visit us.
Their human shell is deceased from earthly life but as we know the soul can never die . Whereas we as mere mortals need to expire before our soul goes to the next step of our journey.
Are you saying you want to visit heaven on a soul level , or that you want your body to expire ?

Yes, I think we can be a bother to them, we can be the ghosts, but then it is that they have created how it once was for instance in their old home, and/or that is how it is in their world, when they have lingered on.

Your loved ones in spirit will Never see you as a bother to them.
they will understand you desire to speak to them.
you could ask them to visit you whilst you sleep.
in your dreams.
Spirit find it easier to connect with you whilst you are sleeping.
