Silence Came !
Silence came yesterday morning
To doff his cap at me
I was slightly startled for a moment
then i began to smile
In recognition of my old friend
who has erred always by my side
playing in distant meadows
While i climbed an old tree
Hovering overhead when i sheltered
from the rain but always nearer than
my own breath and ...further than the
star from the Sea Shelf
Silence has always been there
Not the silence of absent noise
or even the child's lullabies
But a thunderous explosive
silence waiting waiting to create
a new world !

Yes- good stuff Joe- wonderful-silence- I love the stuff- except when it's someone else's and then I like to disturb the peace hehe
