Yes, and isn't life great without it, no religion is another way to drop guilt for many.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru.

Yes we certainly can manifest illness and there are plenty of case studies and examples to show that.
But, I also know people who are very ill and remain happy, optimistic, spiritually orientated, with great family backgrounds. I'm not sure it is always to do with emotional issues, thoughts or law of attraction.

Hi Starbuck. There are many causes for sickness obviously, some that can be explained and others that cannot be. As for me, I'd say it's best to simply stick with the understandings and explanations we can truly know, rather than speculating on spiritual causes and what not.
-I know I get sick when I don't care of myself, or when life gets too stressful.
-I know people are born into the world having to battle illness all their lives.
-I know -- for me -- that illness was be a life-changing learning experience that felt like something I was always meant to undergo in this lifetime, regardless of my particular life circumstances.
