Key To Success

Just wanted to share this !

I want to be a successful person, please direct me towards it", I said to my mentor. And her humble, obvious reply was who you call a successful person ? What is success ? Does that word sound abstract to you also ? Don't we all understand it in same way ? There are not many patterns to identify these days that qualify for its answer. I am worried that our education system are training children to follow the only pattern which any enlightened person can see will suck life out as one will move forward in the hustle.

Where are we putting our values ? It cannot be possible that everyone is endowed with same values that they start walking on the same path

There are few incidents in my life that i would like to share which help me see success in many more dimensions than what it has been projected on us by our very pattern of living . One of my adorable friend wanted to make a long trip to see me. She used to have a very beautiful shining metallic flute which she had with her from many years. One day she said that she will arrange the money for trip soon, which i was expecting to be after couple of weeks when she will receive her monthly wages.But to my utmost surprise, she sold the flute next day to arrange for the money. She let that priceless flute go just like that. She hardly had any sentiments attached to that flute . Not only on that instance but at many other occasions she didn't hesitate to let go materialistic thing to fulfill the cause to experience a higher degree of feeling. For me her investment to achieve greater feeling was better investment since it was in harmony with her values.

At another incident, I was in room with elite people whose conversation were prominently about business to understand there way of doing business. In contrast to there talk when I heard to a street vendor I noticed that he sounds more rational and practical. Each word made perfect sense. Listening to him gave me better understanding, ideas then that from the room filled with elite people. I felt that the street vendor was more closer to his values than people of that room.


It is a sorry state that success is misconstrued to be associated with only persons who belong in higher ranks. Money give power. Brain spearhead you in every race . humans are dissembled from its creativity and sentiments. I am also a part of this vicious circle and I don't know how long I will stay inside it before breaking free, but one thing I understand that my mentor who is also a mother is a successful woman and successful mother.
