In Zen, the practice is to be selfless. Not be a self trying to be selfless.

Conventional truth can play an important part in Buddhism

Your mind likes to dictate itself

But that is ok

Being more self aware than you, I don't let me ego dance all over the page like you tend to do in your "KNOWLEDGE" based desire to be get things the way YOU want them to be

No full stops either, did you notice

Can you notice

This is really the key Ryan

For you at least

Like do you actually have the ability to notice beyond your brain and knowledge of things

Within this aspiration of yours so clearly spewing over all the pages showing us your ego thinking that you believe your teaching us all something

I chuckle to myself

I learn from all the others here which is nice

We shall see about you

I wait in amusement for your reply

Millions of people practice mindfulness. You think this is some advanced ability?

A google search on "mindfulness" brings up 40 million hits.

If you were not you or others then where is mindfulness. It becomes imagination of nothing. May be the same as the King's new clothes. He doesn't wear any but everyone said the clothes are so beautiful then there's always no clothes. A Chinese idiom: the noise of million mosquitoes result as thunder.

Sorry I don't mean mindfulness is nothing because it's something. But can it helps million of them as they have seen it? Haha!!!

If you are aware of something, it means it is not you. You are that which sees it. Any self you are aware of is ego, not you.

Well you are attracted to Buddhism or you would not be in a Buddhist thread. So don't give up! It will sink in eventually. Perhaps some unconscious part of you wants to know Buddhism.

One nice exercise for you:

You posted this: Your mind likes to dictate itself...

This is one of many things you learned from me...ask yourself why. Why is this an interest of yours? My mind?

If you want to learn mindfulness, there are many online sources, just google it. :)

There is no 'self ' in mindfulness from my understanding Jeremy.
