Is it true ?

I am trying different meditations mentioned on this site ... but not seeing any difference.. so may be I need a Guru ? or stop eating meat ?

thanks

Drinking is pretty disruptive to meditation or yoga or martial arts or any art of concentration and as an addiction the cravings are really very unpleasant.

I think a light vegitarian diet is probably the optimum, but really not so important as intoxicants.

I think gurus are funny little fellows... but I guess that's why Buddah was laughing.

Never worry, it's all a big foolahbungeeragah.

There's a guy who calls himself Swami Beyondananda who used to travel around writing books and poking fun at his own enlightenment... still does. Here are a few of his profound utterings:

There's no need to change the world. All we have to do is toilet train the world and we'll never have to change it again.

If we want world peace, we must let go of our attachments and truly live like nomads.
That's where I no mad at you and you no mad at me. That way there will surely be nomadness on the planet.

If you're looking for the key to the Universe, I've got some good news, and some bad news.
The bad news: there is no key to the Universe. The good news: it was never locked.

When you are ready your teacher will be there... You can eat meat, drink booze whatever.... there are no hard fast rules, but each person is different

A long time ago I was an Essene....Lifetimes ago... we made a rule about eating meat, based upon the fact that back then most folks were centered in their lower centers....very grounded, without a lot of the higher centers functioning. Not eating meat....like starvation he he, and Saunas, and certain drugs loosens our grounding.... it seems to make it easier for the Kundalini to rise.... It was a good rule at the time....
But that was well over a thousand years ago....humanity has evolved. I spent most of my life entirely in my higher centers... totally ungrounded, to the point I was having a hard time staying in my body.... I had problems constantly going into the Light, blissing out even while working on top of a telephone pole as a lineman.... Problematic...... Now I eat tons of Free Range Grass fed Organic Meat..... I'm thriving, my centers are balanced.... 60 years old more or less and just had a kid on the first try...a beautiful , healthy...amazing child..There are no all encompassing rules. Personally I feel a vegetarian diet is harmful to most, but so is eating factory farmed meat.....
