Twin Flame / Twin Soul
Could someone tell me if a Twin Flame and a Twin Soul are the same thing?

Which someone? You're going to get a dozen variations, depending on each individual's personal belief.
A flame relationship is someone who mirrors you. That's why there's generally a lot of turmoil in flame relationships. People resist looking in the mirror.
A soul relationship is someone who accepts and supports you, as you are. That's why there's generally a lot less turmoil in soul relationships.
There... my personal belief.

Or they refuse to accept what the mirror reflects. The looker sinks into denial and demands the mirror changes its reflection.
It's too easy for someone caught up in the twin flame idea to latch on to a person to whom they're attracted then complain about the mirror.

Many ppl refer to Twin Flame with "Twin Soul" and often also "Soulmate". But they're not the same. So what is meant depends on what the writer/speaker means by Twin Soul or Soulmate.
For instance, most oracle card decks don't have a TF card, but do have a Soulmate card. Then you can use that one for a TF card, if you want to do a reading on that.
When reading online, you have to basically use the context of what's written to discern what is being meant. When they use "Soulmate" and go on to talk about the other half of your soul, they actually are talking about a Twin Flame. The same goes for Twin Soul. In most cases they mean the Twin Flame, just that many ppl simply haven't heard of the term Twin Flame, even though it's been in existence for at least a decade. Just not known by many.
It is very confusing and a shame that those terms are used interchangeably.
Basically a Twin Flame is a higher connection than an Twin Soul, Twin Soul is a higher connection than a Soulmate.
Also bear in mind that different ppl have different opinions on this subject...

Between what I read in a couple of your recent posts, and 7luminaries thread, I think I'm clear now on what this is all about. Twins have to do with being mirrors. Yes, honest self-examination is difficult. And denial is certainly one of the responses. As is turning things back on the mirroring other and blaming them, and demanding they change instead. I would say that's the often the real reason for the conflict that is happening. The problem isn't with the partner who left; it's with the partner who blames and accuses them for leaving, and who can't or won't engage in any kind of self-reflective correcting process.
But if anything is clear here, it's that all these labels -- twin flame, soul mate, etc. -- only mean whatever they mean to the particular individual. That's why I said "According to whose version?"

Thank you for your responses.
Fairy, I found some interesting info on your 'positive links' thread as well.

Some people use the term twin ray as the highest connection, but that's less common then twin flame.
