Astral projection at night during sleep or during the day?

Hi guys!
There seem to be two different approaches to AP: doing at night, using WBTB and during the day using progressive muscle relaxation. I am having no success using it at night, because most nights my dream recall is near zero and for one successful night, I have ten of them where I don't remember anything.
Does anyone have experience doing it during the day? I have heard this is even more difficult than doing it at night. However, I know a few people who were able to do it that way and it is recommended in Robert Bruce's 90 days for astral projection.

Have you tried mindfulness or awareness of your thoughts to help increase dream-recall?

Practicing Yoga Nidra might help with a night AP.

Yes, cast the rumors aside, and no it's not. I'd say the only thing more difficult than at night would be APing while walking, which is for me very difficult to do(aka only have done by accident each time).

In APing during the day, I found it can be done easier in a reclining or sitting position. It naturally happens in deep stages of meditation(it's known by several names, depending on source and focus). When one gets proficient enough in a particular style of meditation(which is uncannily similar to exit procedures), it's simple enough to AP every day if you so choose.

It's been a long while since I've read Astral projection in 90 days, but yeah, APing at day or night is more about mental and emotional states then time of day, some are too restless during the night to AP(or pass out), so during the day they might find a greater success, and visa versa.

Hi creatureoflight,

I've been astral projecting since as young as I can remember, and for the last 20+ years during the day, most every day, through meditation. I personally prefer to astral project during the day because I'm more alert and it allows me to enter a projection from a completely awake state of consciousness. For me, there is much more clarity and control through meditation than when I find myself astral projecting through sleep. Things tend to be a little more foggy through sleep. Through meditation I never lose consciousness, so I feel 100% awake when a projection begins. I do have a problem with light, though, so I use an eye mask. I still project at night on occasion but not nearly as often as I used to before I started daily meditation specifically for astral projection. I'm honestly not sure if it's easier or harder than through sleep because it's something that comes pretty naturally for me, but I'd imagine if you have a routine that works for you it wouldn't really matter if it were day or night. Although I don't suppose any sort of wake back to bed strategy would do much good for during the day, there are plenty of other things you could try. Good luck!
