There is a technique called Bridging but it's hard to explain .. I will have to dig out my notes xx

when I was training we were taught about using a star of david layout to either energise or remove negativity. the points were used in a similar way, however we were warned that the "points out" should only be used for a short period of time and then they should be turned to "points in" to refil with positive energy.

As for the crystals in the middle, I would personally dowse for which ones these should be rather than use any sort of rigid rules such as based on colour. You are more likely to get positive results using your own intuition than something someone else has prescribed without knowing your specific circumstances.
