Yes, it was the Potassium Chloride.
I had a previous heart doctor put me on that medicine along with a diuretic. That doctor also put in my medical records that I had an aortic aneurism. When that doctor moved away, I had to get a new doctor. The new doctor says I don't need potassium chloride because I shouldn't be taking a diuretic. He also said I do not have an aortic aneurism. Even my primary care provider claims I have an aortic aneurism. He showed me a ultrasound which shows an aortic aneurism. Now, a recent ultrasound test does not show an aortic aneurism.

As for Potassium Chloride: it is sometimes used as part of the cocktail they give prisoners that are being executed. It paralyzed the heart and lungs without any pain.

These are the kind of stories that I have come on here for.
Not the fact that you almost died. But because I too have had been through the mill and I can relate to this thread . You are clearly well thought of and people were very worried. That much is apparent.

Hi... Not really !
Everything in moderation .
But we just never know do we the fine line between a moderate and a dangerous amount of anything.

John was lucky , and that was in the hands of "supposed" medical experts .

This whole situation could have had a very different outcome .

But with with regard to the banana situation ( you started it)
It's like this ...
It does not matter whether you suck it down your throat all at once , or you nibble bite size pieces off it like they do at the tennis finals ....the outcome is still the same as in you will still ingest the same amount of potassium... Except one of the scenarios is likely to result in choking to death !!!!!
My hope with all of this is that BigJohn can be in enough high spirits to see the humorous side and that all of us can be thankful that he pulled through and is on this forum once more ...oh .. and just in case he reads this, I bet he never touches a banana again !!!..... Just saying !!
