Hope it works out.
I don't get why you work with attachments. I always reduce the size to something like 700 x 700 pixels maximum, upload the image with Imgur and then post the link here.
I wouldn't know how to do an attachment and never looked for it as I don't find it handy.
As for the painting, it's beautiful!! |

Thanks everyone for your lovely comments.
FairC. I asked a friend of mine to help me post an attachment and it was she who worked out how to do it by using the forums instructions. But I’m hopeless when it comes to comes to IT stuff and can’t figure out what you mean by using Imgur as you suggest. So I have to wait until my friend comes over in a couple of months and get her to show me how it’s done. Unfortunately she’s overseas at the moment.
Miss H. Yes I actually did paint it. During my painting career many people over the years have not believed that I have actually painted something but I’m used to it now and just shrug it off. NOT saying that you believe that cos you dont strike me as that kinda person. If you zoom in and scroll down you can see my signature on it.
When I started painting twenty years ago I did my first painting which I thought wasn’t too bad and the teacher thought it was good. Then when I painted my second portrait I felt the FLOW and when she was telling me what to do I just KNEW already everything that she was telling me and I didn’t know how I KNEW. She said, you must have done this in a previous life cos she’d never seen anyone produce what I did in so short a time. (Not bragging just being honest)
I think she maybe right as I found it quite easy and as I said, it just flows from me.
I’ll post my second portrait in a few minutes.
I used to draw lots of faces as a kid all over my bedroom even on the draws in the cupboard and all over my bedroom door but never learnt to paint until a few years ago

Second portrait
In my art class we had to reproduce the Old Masters paintings so we could learn how to do their techniques. Once we have achieved this then we could go off on our own and paint our own stuff using this technique.
Obviously the old masters style wouldn’t sell in todays market so I use some of their style and combine it with modern variations.
