[quote=Morpheus]You are in error, Juanita, judging prematurely... and having made poor choices.

It's not up to me to decide if you are among the predestined regarding salvation, and eternal life.
No amount of church, or family upbringing will aid one, if it is not meant to be.
This is the mystery involving free will, and predestination.

But, how do you discern, also, that I am a fundamentist? Simply because I am a Christian?
Are all Chrstians fundamentalists in your view?
Oh.
Concerning your statements above, you probably were not aware of this scripture, and others similar...

"Beloved, now we are the children of God, and it does not appear what we shall be,
but we know that when we shall see Him, we shall be like Him, for, we shall see Him as He is."

Equally, Jesus called His followers brothers, and, as does the Bible overall, related the deceased with angels in Heaven.
Overall in the Bible, "Stars", represent both angels, and people, alike.

From 1John[/QUOTE

OMG, I can't believe what you just said...... you are judging me?????? In my eyes, you are the one "in error"......poor choices????? I don't think so.......I have not been misguided by fantasy........No, all christians are not fundamentalists.....there seem to be two types of christians---those that go by the "letter" of the bible and those that go by the "spirit" of the bible and fundamentalists go by the "letter" believing each and every contradictory word..... I am neither, as I am not a christian and only believe in spirit which includes the great spirit........words like "salvation" show that you fall into the fundamentalist group.......good luck with that.........

how do you know he'll be surprised? he might get exactly what he expects according to his beliefs. maybe Christians meet Jesus, Muslims meet Mohamed, Hindus meet with whichever variation of their Godhead they worship and so on and so forth ect.

My bag, Internal queries, you are quite correct......He "will" get what he expects -- at least for a while....I was referring I think, to the "last days" here on earth that he might be expecting to go through with all those resurrected mummies running around......just being trite I guess.....:-)

are we living in the last days?

What difference does it make to you and me? At 78 I know my days will soon be over. Nobody reading this forum is likely to be here in 100 years at best (worst?)

How much time on earth do you honestly estimate you have? That is the real issue, not how much longer things on earth will continue more or less as they are.

Are we reay for the end of our earthly life?

Mary, you will live forever.

But, subjectively, you keep talking about yourself, here, regarding your age.
I may have already posted here how people leave this illusory material world, and dimension all the time unexpectedly.
In my own family, there is a member who left us suddenly in a Rescue Helicopter crash.
Here, and gone. But, in retrospect I see God's plan in it.

Nevertheless, Jesus had stated that when we see these things coming to pass on Earth, to "lift up our heads, as our redemption grows near."

Maybe you will live out your life here, or, maybe you will be snatched, and translated.
"In the twinkling of an eye".

Here, and gone.

Yes, that's right. "Salvation"

Webster says, Saved means rescued, as by another, That, Grace means unmerited favor. And. all born of the love of God for the individual, and humanity.

Sorry if you have a problem with that.
