It was pretty special SG ... the garden attracts loads of butterflys at certain times of the year but they are not easy to snap because they are very fluttery lol ...
This next lot of flowers were in the same park ... and we are in autumn here ... there were lots of empty garden beds ... will definitely revisit in spring ...

I would be in heaven if I had a park like that around here. Even if it isn't in full bloom. Awesome~

Yesterday morning here at home ... the lilly in the middle is under shelter ... it will have opened more ... haven't had a look yet today ...

I think it's a Morton Bay Fig tree.

Hey Gem yeah i thought that too but cant find anything like those flowers when i google the MB fig ... the seed pods look different too ... there were loads of figs trees in the park .... the pink flowers on the other page were high up in one of the fig trees ...

yeah i think you have nailed it squootchels ... the seed pod looks identical too ... very cool ... it was a beautiful tree ... not laden with flowers ... probably half a dozen all told ... and it did have a perfume ... there was another magnolia tree there which i recognized and snapped but didnt post cause the pic was a bit blurry ...

Kate - do you remember the tulips I posted and you wondered if they would change colour.......? Well, here they are again and yes they've gone from pale white with the subtlest of red/pink edges to a gorgeous rich creamy rhubarb & custard!!

aww they are beautiful Squatch ... you English folk certainly know how to grow flowers :) ... the colours are brilliant! It almost looks like the red has been painted on lol ... I like the resident fish too
This pic below is the lily I waited patiently to capture in full bloom ... the snails attended a banquet first and didnt invite me! haha ... and one of my fish who are inside :) a little offtopic ...ummmm but fish and flowers both start with F at least mwahhhhh Gem
