That's a gorgeous purple Kate.

I had a little walk in the garden this morning. It feels like the first day of Spring.

Hey Squatch that purple is a few streets away :) ... the tulips are very special! ... will they stay that colour? I get them mixed up with daffodils ... I love the red tips on the petals ... and those lady birds are divine!

The tulips are funny looking things. I think Mum bought a selection of bulbs last year and plopped a few in the pot. They are very short (only about 5 inches tall) and are rather pointy looking. I reckon they won't change colour now. 'Normal' tulips look more egg-shaped and are tall. These must have been specially bred. I'll take some of the daffodils when they're out - I've got loads in the garden...but they're not open yet.

The ladybirds are adorable. I think they're called ladybugs in the US. I much prefer the word ladybird. They're very welcome in the garden as they eat the greenfly (which eat the roses). I did spot 4 ladies in a clump but my camera isn't zoomy enough to get close...I took a photo but it was all blurred. Or maybe my camera is just fine...and it's my photographing skills that are pants.....

These tulips are curious looking - sort of like a cross between a tulip and trillium.

I wonder if it is a hybrid SG, a mix of tulip/trillium. I'll have to ask my Mum if she remembers (highly unlikely, lol).

Your Rosella is gorgeous Kate. How colourful!

I snapped the first daffodil on Saturday...and while I was outside noticed a particularly proud & handsome daisy. Here they are...
