Sparrow’s Meditation Compendium

Sunset by the ocean, a rose garden, Mona Lisa – whatever is beautiful, we want to see it. We don’t make plans to be happy for two weeks in October, and suffer in misery for the rest of the year. We would rather be constantly happy. We want truth. We want freedom and equality. We want love. Yet none of those things exist in this world in full. Then how can we possess a desire for something that we have not ever experienced in this world? The desire springs from our deeper nature. In that deeper, spiritual realm we once experienced complete satisfaction, knowledge and relationship. By meditation one can uncover that original identity.

In the Vedas, in Kalisantarana Upanisad and several Puranas, the exclusive means for uncovering the deeper self, or atma, and for realizing and transcending the temporary nature of this world, is described as follows:

harer nama harer nama
harer namaiva kevalam
kalau nasty eva nasty eva
nasty eva gatir anyatha

“Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare/ Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare—in this Age of Kali there is no other means, no other means, no other means for self-realization than chanting the holy name, chanting the holy name, chanting the holy name of Lord Hari.”

Simply by hearing the sound of the mantra regularly, the natural personality of the atma is nourished, and the longing for higher happiness, love, knowledge and freedom is fulfilled. One can be freed from the samsara, or the cycle of birth and death, and return to the original, spiritual existence and activities.

Dear Sparrow,

Minutes ago I tried the Meditational Writing which appears at the very beginning of this thread.

I was very emotional today and I decided to try. I began to write a letter to my angel guide, following your suggestions.

The pen began to run very quickly, with Q&As, as a true dialog. I wrote all what it naturally came up, letting the pen go free, with my eyes almost closed. It was a amazing experience which brought me some relax indeed. I completed four pages in about 8 min. I wrote precise answers to all my questions and other exchanges about my general situation as well....

My everpresent doubt is how to know if all this came just from me, or from other spiritual being. In order to clarify, I see myself as a very lucid and oriented person. I usually have a good assessment of my difficulties and how to solve them, despite I put in practice or not the solutions .

So, I am afraid that such meditation could not imply a true contact with my guide, but just my own projection.

Could you elaborate a little bit more on it?

My elaboration would be…what does it matter?

What does it matter if such answers came from you or another source? We are all One.

Do you presume another source has more wisdom than your own heart?

I hear on this forum I often speak with elegant precision on matters of this or that, yet your own heart has the same access of wisdom as does mine. Your own heart has access to the same knowing as has any being in the spirit world, for your own spirit still remains everpresent in the spirit world as we speak.

If every human being learnt to receive the voice of their own heart, they would discover the voice of their own grandest Angel, their wisest spirit guide, and their own lost beloved.
You do not need to reach forever out, but reach ever-presently within.

To be entirely specific, there are those around you who are helping you to get in touch with yourself. When your pen hit the paper, the energy which you understand as emotion is a language onto itself. This energy is also what the spirit world interacts and connects with when working with you. When your emotion was channelled into your intention to write, it created a doorway for both your own heart wisdom, as well as those who watch over you to access and provide truth. It may be truth about you, and how you view situations, or it may be truth which you need to hear at that time. A spirit guide will only tell you what you need to know at any one time, and may later appear to contradict himself later if it is appropriate for you to understand something differently. It ties in with the perception of ‘the process’ I have illuminated to you.

Automatic writing, or channelled writing, will become apparent when you do not have to think what to write, for the words simply flow effortlessly, and often times your fingers cannot keep up. When you experience this, you are channelling, either your spirit, or that of your guides thoughts. Despite much doubt over this, this form of channelling is commonplace and whole books, movie scripts and software programs have been channelled in this way. It is not for you to question or bother yourself with where such information comes, but merely the nature and content of this information and its application. When you begin to question and create focus on analytical thought, you lose the connection because you are interfering with the frequency.

Sparrow, I was so into replying to your post, that I got a bit carried away and the time limit expired ! I know, I should write it elsewhere and post it here. I will try and remember what I said and re - post it. Meditational writing, automatic writing or whatever one calls it is one of my favorite topics.

Hello Angel.

I was not aware there was a limit to time. I do not experience this expiry event, is it the same for all forum users?

You have lost written material in the past, and you always think it is for some intervening purpose, as did I a long time ago. It is not, and it obviously causes you frustration when it occurs. I suggest for you friend that before you hit ‘post’ you first highlight and copy your text in the event it is lost through technical issues. You would then only have to press ‘paste’ to reinsert it upon the page.

An interesting little fact, the content of the American declaration of independence was channelled from the spirit world, much the same way as automatic writing. Those in the spirit world take just as much, if not more interest in the development and progress of countries than those on Earth. Those who were good at a particular subject or line of work while they were alive, so to speak, tend to attract towards those who are in a position to continue their work on Earth. Those who’s intentions are united between worlds will come together in the most inspiring ways to achieve an aspired purpose.

If what you are about to write is going to touch the hearts and lives of others then for those in the spirit world this is an opportunity not to be wasted. That is something for you to remember, the spirit world wastes no opportunity within their awareness.

Hello Sparrow,

I am always feeling this limitation, restriction of time ... but that in itself is topic for another discussion. As regards this issue, and my writing a long post, if I take too long to write ... I am signed out. This is not the first time this has happened, and I should know better. I was carried away by the moment, lost in my thoughts as I was writing and forgot this minor detail. Thank you for the suggestion on how to prevent this from happening again ! oh yes, I do seem to think it is a sign or something... when things like this happen.... always looking for signs, too often perhaps ?
Most interesting about the American Declaration of Independence being channelled from the spirit world. Wow !
