I'm not trying to do the man down, but I think you're better than Bob Ross. I'm serious. What I particularly like is the softness and solidity of the shapes in the second one.

Oki Doki ...... Here's my latest "splodge" !!
I have called it "The Day Of The Balloon"
I was inspired to paint this after the incident we had the other evening, when a Hot Air Balloon tried to land near our street.
This is just about the view I saw that evening, after I thought it had landed safely, then suddenly it came shooting back up from behind a big tree.
If anyone is interested , I posted the story complete with 5 photos in "My Space" page 82.
The balloon was very fiddly to paint, what with all the different coloured panels ...... plus they are all different sizes and shapes ...... darn near sent me loopy !! ...... I felt like Clarence the cross eyed lion from Daktari by the time I was done !!  lol
The pattern of the coloured panels is an approximation too ...... It was difficult enough without trying to get everyone exactly the same as in the photo !!
Anyway ..... hope you like it !!

Love it - I'm big on bold colours. 
The tree looks so feathery and real. I've noticed that bird in all your paintings so far...is he going to be a 'Soulie' trademark?

Quite the work on that balloon and all those colors ! And I love the greens mix in the trees !
Very observant Squatch, with the bird in all Soulie's pictures ! I wonder if there is a story " waiting to be told " with the bird ? Just another mini observation, all his signatures are in red ~ favorite color perhaps ?

Thanks for the comments ....... I was very pleased with the texture of the tree, it is lots of layers and shades ..... Takes time to do, but I think I'm getting the hang of it more.
As for the bird, well he just keeps flying in as I'm finishing the painting !!
How did you guess my favourite colour is red ........
