In connection with mediumship - evidential, philosophical or healing mediumships alike - it's not down only to the practitioner; she or he does not call the shots. Our friends and helpers unseen are the ones who come to make contact and their attendance can not be mandated.

The practitioner has to make herself available but that's as far as things will go until a spirit or spirits choose(s) to reach out to complete the connection beween the physical and etheric dimensions.

After that it's down to the spiritual/psychic attributes of the medium and how strong the transdimensional link is.

What i found in the seventies and early eighties was that Spirit was there in the forefront and everything seemed so natural and without effort, no sitting or developing it was just there and i seemed totally tuned into it as though i had been doing this all my life, the clairvoyance just arose within me and it seemed effortless, the transfiguration arose as though on its own accord, no sitting for it it was just there, my entire face would be covered in what felt like thousands of spider webs on my face running our of my eyes, nose, ears my face would become a blank pink colour, then begin to fill in with the face of the one overshadowing, this was done and appeared in broad daylight without the use of red lights or any other props. Now though thirty odd years later things seem to have slowed down somewhat, the spontanaeity that was there seems tohave taken a step backwards. will see how this progresses.

Have you looked at history for information on other 'strange' experiences?

As for 'Mediumship', it is sometimes looked at as something that happens only in Modern Day Spiritualism. Have you look at other belief systems that mimic Mediumship and the techniques they use?

As added as a caution in a different field: "Past results are no guarantee of future performance."

Your focus changed three decades ago and those who were working with you at that time have presumably moved away. Had you not made the choices you did a different outcome might have been the result.

Perhaps it's not so easy for potential spirit collabarators to work with you now the way your earlier ones could?

For myself it was effortless I don't have to think about it, its just there as for Transfiguration many times when i have given readings,I have been told that I change in appearance.
