Yes there are many and some interpretations contradict the other. Imo as I said to Red, that which is created has gender for obvious reasons.
If you see gender as an attribute of the physical created body, then a spirit does not have nor need gender. |

Honza. Yep maybe we are!
It doesn’t really bother me one way or the other to be honest cos I’ll soon find out when I cross over. So I’ll just live with “I don’t know” for now. It just isn’t important to me.

Honza,
This should be the goal…..but is not automatic. It takes time to discover our true Self. Our first automatic responses are most likely logically generated by our culture and ego. When we become aware of these factors then freedom from this bondage can be employed….. |

Another answer could be truth is the ultimate spiritual authority.
John 14:6
New International Version
6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
If there is only one way, one truth, one spiritual reality, then the absolute truth of that is the authority. I think because if one touches that, catches a glimpse of that, experiences that in some small or large way, it's like a light being turned on. An insight of truth. One sees what one was ignorant of before and it illuminates the path as truth itself. Finding truth.

The ones that have stood the test of time are well known authorities within each religion and philosophy,those such as Christ-if we try to make ourselves such,how can we be sure we are not going to cheat ourselves?We can put spins on certain laws to satisfy our own senses but we could be breaking that law.
