Life away from the etheric dimensions can indeed be a challenge and a frightening experience. But that very challenge and how we deal with it are what enhance our individual spiritual evolvement - they're why we choose to come here in the first place. The problem most have, though, is not being consciously aware of why we're here. Give that situation, fear of this world and the life we lead is totally understandable.

Why is death feared so much?

if there is going to be pain before passing
The fear of the unknown
the fear of losing your sense of self.

Those are my main fears.

Thank you all for feedback from my post.
I do not fear death , I welcome the afterlife , but yes , because I know how I am going to die I fear the pain and the end .
In fact I'm dreading it.
It won't be pleasant.

I don't fear death anymore, possibly because I'm not overly invested in life.

I don't mean that in the sense I'm depressed, because I'm not. The way I see it is, while I'm here I will make the most of it, but one day I wont' be, and that will be the next adventure. I don't attach to too many things. I certainly don't want to live forever here. The Earth is beautiful, but it's slowly being destroyed.

Plus my parents have gone, so has another young relative, and a lot of people I deeply care about are a lot older than me.

It'll happen to us all eventually,it is best not to think about it and when the time comes, have a feeling of curiosity.

It's interesting though because many teachings say it's good to think about one's own death, not to dwell on it or worry about it, but to keep it in mind as the reminder that this life is temporary and we are all dying to each moment. It can become the ultimate teacher in how to let go of everything we experience.

That said, if someone wants to ignore death and pretend it doesn't exist until the very end, maybe that serves them too.

True Hemera but if you spend your life worrying about your death, you'll becomea nervous wreck.
