EXCELLENT POINT!
That is why I find the Hebrew word pronounced something like Elohim to be so mysterious. It has many meanings such as Angels, etc.

It all stems with how we subjectively interpret the word "god".
Human, or something else, up to the supernatural.
Down to, I think, in terms of the best thinking.
I think the case has been made for the fact that all the gods are man made.

Yes and no.
Yes, as all beliefs are man made. If not us, who?
No, as nature and our DNA is telling us we are the fittest of our line. That initial mental position as the fittest, in theological terms, is god.
Gods are concepts and constructs of human imagination.
Look to the root of any religion and you will see some reference to the pineal gland or other mystical symbol that denotes a mythological and imaginary rendering of an ancient central team/tribe building myth.
The only place any concept you can hold of any god is in your own mind.
