yes basic doctrines have their useful uses only to a point.
i think the perfection being talked about here is the perfection of our true spiritual nature.

this is what honza meant by becoming one's own god.
so letting go of the father and becomes one owns god simply means you are knowing what the doctrines refer to instead of just believing them.

Yes thats what I more or less said, but still we are already that, we need not really become anything, its just an inner Realization.

Perfection, strong's concordance in the Greek tel-i-o-tace; a completer i.e. consummater:--finisher.

If after professing Christ, to go back, and to not persevere is to forsake faith in Him.

You must realize the we are the Christ, the Christ is within each one of us and that thread called Christ is ONE, when we come to this Realization we are complete, it is finished.

yes we are already complete .
we just have to accept it,
no process of attaining perfection
just the practice of accepting what we already are
practice makes perfect.

See my latest thread on why some people do not want God to be God. I think that you may be cheating yourself out of a great reality and out of great wisdom and truth.

Belief in God is sublime and majestic. It gives me some much. I would not give it up for I AM.

Hi Honza, how can I be cheated out of anything, I AM all that there is, what you call God Is what I AM, it sound like you haven't understood anything that I have already said ?.

What is the need to make it either / or?

If your name for universal perfection is Father God, that's fine. That can't keep you from discovering the perfect beingness that is your own essence... unless you think it can.

God is within you... and everywhere.
