fair comment
(2)It probably won't hurt to take it although we shouldn't take medication without sound reasons to do it just because it probably won't hurt - surely?
(3a)why?
(3b)Is it known that it's safe to take hydroxychloroquine to treat Covid-19 and if it is, is it also known to be beneficial/helpful/effective against the virus?
If not you may as well try any other drugs that might be OK to treat Covid-19.

(1)Good catch sir. Your math is correct.
I have conflated a few factors in the math equation that you are not privy to.
It is more algebra then basic addition, subtraction.
I have had probably more then 100 doctors in my lifetime due to birth defects and deformities and every day life.
Let me more accurately state that over my life it feels like 99% of Dr.
I have experienced where not trustworthy, 1% seemed trustworthy.
Can you except that statement from me?
(2)Most probably I won't take it. Some may, some may not. The part I left out
which I sometimes do when I think it is obvious, is this (With your Doctors advice and supervision.)
So the only way I know to get it is through a Dr.
prescribing it.I make no claims for or against it treating Covid.
(3a)(3b) Same answer as in (2)

That means I can count my self "lucky" (I know there is no such thing as luck) I don't have to go to doctors, and haven't been for almost 30 years.

I like to use the word fortunate rather than luck. Just my say.

I wonder if and when all the misinformation will clean up.
I hope that those responsible for this misinformation, both those who knew they mislead and those who ignorantly (and irresponsibly) supported them, to be held accountable, both legally and by the public opinion ... Then I wake up.

I do consider I am blessed to get to experience all I can. Then learn.
I now only go to Drs. once a year to keep eligible for the insurance.

It's kind of you to say.
Rappers Rhyme: "S" on my chest, I'm a hero I guess.
It's the trauma's that are hard to figure.
It all seems like the struggling butterfly to break free, strengthening it's wings to fly.
I am aware that you have a wise tale of growth from your own struggles.
As I am sure everyone on this site must have.

I know many great souls who chose to be born into a difficult life, health wise or the background, parents aso. simply because they can.
Not only for their own growth.
