If it's meaningful, this should be listening not to agree/disagree and be right/wrong, but listening with introspection, and speaking from your centre, so to speak. It's always the same reason - so people will be truly affected and transformed in some way, and don't take that the wrong way, like I'm the goddam master and will transform your lives. I'm one of the people as well. It's when you are fundamentally changed as a person having realised something for yourself. Not as a past thing or something to occur later, but in the immediacy of this moment. I would say it is about meditation except that it's not apart from meditation. It's a conversation in meditation. If it's not that - then there is no point.
Ok, thanks for the elaboration. I try to speak from a place of authenticity and insight (what I would call my inner knowing, which is a still, quiet place, and not filled with a lot of mental noise), rather than searching my memory banks for what I consider to be the right answer, so I appreciate what you're saying, though I don't have anything to add right now.

Not got anything to add to the discussion at hand, and I'm not Buddhist or anything, but that krishnamurti bloke is a looker, isn't he?

Yes I do. I have been practicing an 18 form version of Qi Gong called Shibashi for some time now but quite recently I have stumbled across Wuji standing meditation. The two tie nicely together for me.
Do you also practice Wuji?

Consciousness, or yourself, is the one thing you can never observe since you are that which observes. Anything you perceive by definition can't be the instrument of perception. In fact, what triggers enlightenment is the observation of that which is rarely observed. The self put together by thought that masquerades as the self.

I am an individual and unique expression from the source of all expression. It's just that simple.

Yes I do but not as a meditation. I practice Yang style Tai Chi, Kung Fu
Fan, Tai Chi Sword and teach Qigong and occasionally take Tai Chi classes.
They are all excellent pastimes for body/mind

Why do you consider them pass times like they rank the same as golf or bowling?

Pastimes are activities done regularly for enjoyment/relaxation which is why I practise/teach
