No it's not Thomas. But I could not find it under Samuel 17.26.

Yes Mo that's my fault or the little fella with the horns It's definitely incorrect and I should have checked Samuel myself. It's actually a quote from John Calvin and I agree with Him.....

Thanks for the reply….these things happen….I also agree with the quote and my rationale tells me that to know myself requires total and absolute honesty….this honesty and search for it has the power to open all doors…..

To know ones self requires not believing in anything that's not you so a person cannot truly know themselves so long as they think they need a misunderstood bible character to save them
Of course this is just my opinion

Yes, the rush to judgement can result in a false sense of comfort. It is better IMO to approach anything by the consideration of possibilities…..
