HI ya naturesflow.
Thanks. I have an artist friend who keeps telling me that i need to do better, but in all honesty, i think my skills arent get any better. i was thinking about trying charcoal drawing cause they usually look hyper realistic.
i am doing some comic book characters all together right now in honor of my late fiance. he introduced me to the comic world and asked to have dr. strange drawn cause he knew how much i like dr. strange. so, i am doing his favorite, mine and a few others. i am gonna try a different style of drawing on this one.

I am aware of the subtle transformation in likeness only, probably because that captures my immediate eye.. For you as the artist you would know exactly what you want to improve upon as a more complete picture overall.
How does your artist friend share how to do better? how do you improve your work when someone says this? Is it detail or shade and light? I am an art dummy so I have no idea, more curious as to what how you improve upon what you already do that looks amazing..lol.
Good luck with your current idea, sounds great..

he told me to watch some of his tutorials and other peoples. i haven't watched any yet. i wouldn't know how to improve, so i would have to watch a video i guess to see how i could.
i do like drawing to utilize my skill, but for the most part i draw to meditate. it silences my mind and calms my emotions.

today i went out and bought some cheap brushes and some charcoal. i used the brushes to draw and shade it. let me tell ya, the brushes are very unforgiving. i really did enjoy drawing with this technique today. i have drawn 5 pieces just today! lol.
she is the last one i did here. i just love doing hair, using a brush is like painting, but a bit different.
