Choose a deck that makes you happy when you look at the visuals and you feel pulled to use. I recommend beginners to use the Housewives Tarot. It's RWS-based and fun to learn on.

So the more complex the images, the more 'symbols' ...the deeper the meanings and hence the more experience it might take to interpret/intuit the reading (??) ... already a lot to think on, very helpful Tealily & Pisces Moon ...

Pretty close! You sort of want a happy medium - contextual and symbolism-rich enough to make the symbolism clear (classic RWS or RWS based), but not so sparse it's vague (eg regular playing cards!!!!  ) but not so busy that you have a hard time figuring what's functional vs merely aesthetic in the cards  |
