Well said, cheneeka! Sorry, Tobi, that I didn't give you credit for starting the thread. I beg your forgiveness. I misread things, somehow. Must be getting old, LOL!
BTW an update: the mention in the original article of the Pope quoting St. Paul comforting a small boy whose dog had just died is an error by the reporter (Hannah Roberts). The story is more accurately reported here: http://www.businessinsider.com/pope-...heaven-2014-12
It was the Pope who was comforting a small boy, not the Pope quoting St.Paul doing that!

Blessings cheeneka. You have it. They have so much to show us and teach us. They are lovely Souls. They do indeed give us messages from spirit, that is for sure.

Haha LPC! You have my forgiveness lol! Old? What's that? haha
Thank you for your update about the original article. That puts things in the right place as anyone who knows the writings of St. Paul knows there is no mention of him saying anything like that.

Well....we hope so anyway....
I am not a Catholic. But for many Catholics, they take the Pope's words very seriously. There are millions of Catholics in the world.
To my view, this is a good step in the right direction.
It makes me wonder if Pope Francis has had his own personal experiences, to say this......

I agree, Tobi. When I had to put my best pal (dog) down, the clinic sent me the Rainbow Bridge Poem in a card. I cried so hard, but after a while my tears returned to guilt. I had a dream the other night and I was rolling on the ground hugging my dog, then I said to myself, "This can't be real because you're dead." I'm of the belief that those who go before us, including animals, can appear to us in our sleep because that's when our veil of resistance is at it's lowest. I have no doubt my buddy visited me and for me, that's proof enough that her soul survived her physical death. Nice thread.

He should make his own weekly chat show called...
"Pope Francis Admits".
Where admits different things such as, that Jesus was probably black haha and that Mary was not a Virgin hahaha. And then selection of special guess, ranging from political/religious figures and just in general public figures will discuss about what Pope Francis has just admitted.
If i was the head of the Vatican, that's excalty what i would do.
Enjoy your time at the top, because in 100 years time religion may be diminished greatly.

I've been following his tour of the Philippines. He's great. I'm a real fan of this pope.

That is just fantastic Blackraven What a lovely 'dream' (visit, more like!) It is a beautiful thing from your dog's Soul to help lift you out of your intense pain. Bless her!

We are not vegetables so we all must be animals, just animals of a little higher order (although sometimes we must wonder). As units of awareness feeding presence and experience to Divine Spirit, a consciousness, that pervades all that exists we must say that the life phenomenon regardless of where or in what it is resident shares immortality and unity with what we think of as Soul.

It's a good point about animal welfare and the millions who would pick up anything the Pope says.
I have a friend in a Catholic order whose job is to tend the animals who live there. Of course we all should give animals kindness and respect. I hope to be reunited, after I die, with my cats that I've had in the past. 😺
