New to energy work, been sick for a while, wondering if family's energy effects mine

It is true about the mirror sheild. I use that more for strangers that I will never meet again. My friend taught me that one, and she laughed when I complained how twice the waiters at a restaurant ignored us fo rlike... 15 minutes. It felt like I was invisible. But sometimes it is nice to hide. I had honestly never thought of it that way. I suppose part of my issue that I am figuring out is that by opening myself to positive energies, the idea of leaving myself exposed to negative energies makes me feel vulnerable. I was just surrounded by so much negative energy it was more of survival tool than something to understand and manipulate. Can I get some of those articles too?

I find reflecting negativity back at others actually stains and weakens the shield. A bubble shield is far more useful against things of an emotional nature.
