I'm not sure movies really do much for me. I stray from sappy dramas, I do enjoy a good old war movie. Although when I was younger I told my parents I knew Donald pleasance I told them he was a friend of mine for quite some time. What kind of kid says that hahaha

Laurie Hutzler is an actual screenwriter, and a teacher at UCLA film school. She teaches people to find the recurring themes in their favorite films to provide insight into their own creative and intuitive themes. I believe her classes may provide some insight for you to discover the things that speak through you or that you are currently learning about.

Thank you for this piece of knowledge. It made me consider things in a different light at the least. I'll search her name on the internet. I'm glad she does such a things.
Since I have been educated in play therapy, this rings a bell. One thing in working through maladaptive behaviors in therapy is to notice themes of play. The purpose of it in therapy is to help work through that fixation and redirect it to a purposeful play interaction. I don't feel like this is a therapy kind of work for me, but I do see a purpose in connecting themes together to help me through a more confusing part of my journey.
